Ever play Elite Beat Agents, and wish you could play it online, with people across the world, with some of the widest selection of music out there?

With Osu, everything in the previous statement can now be done.

Q: What is Osu?
A: Osu is a freeware rhythm game in the vein of Elite Beat Agents with online play, customizable beatmaps (playable songs), and even a way to make your own songs playable.

Q: Wow, that sounds great! Where can I download it?
A: http://osu.ppy.sh You will need to register to play.  The only thing necessary for registration is an email.

Q: Where can I get these beatmaps?
A: The site itself, or from one of the many beatmap packs available.

Q: Which beatmap packs should I download?
A: All of the Video Game Music Packs, as well as the IIDX packs.

Q: What should I do after I've downloaded a beatmap?
A:There are multiple ways to do this.
I).If you downloaded outside of a beatmap pack, do not select save as when prompted. Instead, select open with, and choose osu. Now if they did come in a pack, there are two ways to do this.
II). If your file is in .osz format, simply double click it or drag it into your osu window.
III). If your beatmap pack, when extracted is full of .rar files, extract those files to a folder of the same name as the .rar. Then, you will need to find your osu install directory. It should be under C:\Program Files(x86)\osu! Find your songs folder, and drag the folder you extracted from the .rar within a .rar.

Word of advice: Multiplayer is full of people playing nothing but the following:
A). Hatsune Miku
B). Touhou

In other words, don't play multiplayer unless a Steam announcement has gone up telling you to come to the Forte's osu room.
