Oh, god this is off topic.


Once the first entrepreneur decides to step into space, the great capitalist space-race will commence.  Faster than any time in history, spacecraft and space-oriented technology will be developed for the sheer purpose of profit.  This will detract from the scientific wonder, but at the same time, things won't be done at the speed of bureaucracy.


Additionally, the demand for astronauts and engineers will skyrocket (no pun intended).

Several minutes later, the most vast area in the world, where curiosity can be infinite, the Curiosity Core began shrieking as his favored area was within his grasp.


Mostly I just shat some words into a paragraph which made sense, but the official name actually is Deffective Curiosity Core.

TOPIC REZUREKTION

I realize this is a bit late, but the reason, as it so happens, that the Space Shuttle program was ended was not to liberate space exploration for the private sector, but so that the Space Shuttles would be put out of use.  By retiring the shuttles, NASA is free to develop new spacecraft with more advanced technologies to venture further, faster, and with more efficiency than the shuttles could've dreamt of.

This is similar to the Navy retiring its battle cruisers.  While the cruisers are gone, the Aircraft Carriers are a much better military weapon, despite requiring the Air Force.
