I'm not quite sure if this is in the right area, so, mods, feel free to move it if you find error in its placement.

This is a fragment of the character section of a story of a video game concept that I've been working on for around 8 months. There is alot of symbolism, metaphors and literary/poetic devices in these characters that I didn't explain here, and a few general terms I didn't explain yet. I just wanted to gauge the interest level on this project so I could further explain and post more. There's also, you know, the entire plot to explain and more characters as well as expanding on their pasts, motives and personalities. Pardon the elementary diction 'cause this was meant to be surveyed.  Sooo yeah, enjoy! (or not, that's cool)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Soline – The female protagonist. Ever since childhood, she’s yeanred to be a great warrior like her father, though her father won’t allow it and wants her to be a “proper” girl in hopes of marrying a nice guy; Has had strange magical properties since birth; Ran away at the age of 6 to train herself in the art of swordsmanship after finding the “Relic d’Angelo:  Nike”(Sword).  When she was little, her brother and father used to speak about subtle issues around her, causing her to feel left out, and, in turn, she developed a sense of sarcasm and wit that she uses as a defense mechanism with the mindstate: strike first and your opponent won’t have time to guard.  She often gets herself into trouble and is reluctant to back down from a fight. [portmanteu of Sol, the roman god of the sun and Selene, a female name]

Vension – The male protagonist and Soline’s brother. Gentle-spirited and elegant, he hates violence unless absolutely necessary  or enraged. Father taught him everything he knows of swordplay (when Ven was a child), even though it went in one ear and out the other, as he developed his own methods of combat. He made his own weapon: a double-sided lance with built-each motors on each blade. Bullied as a child. Has strange magical properties. In the Faultless Defense Force in the rank “Echelon One”.  [interVENTION between the FDF and the Holy Church thingy, between defense and offense]

Stream Andro – Grew up with Vension, along with Kayn. Developed strong feelings for Vension because he would protect her and offer his money/lunch to bullies so they would be satisfied and not take hers/make fun of the huge glasses she has to wear since she has bad eyesight. She has a rare bone disorder. One day she came home one day and had a large amount of bruises, so her parents moved at once, causing her to leave without any notice until the beginning of the game. When she was in the bathroom the night her parents told her they were moving, she executed a ritual from a page that she’d been hiding that she found one day playing outside. She’d sacrifice one of her eyes to gain demonic perception and improve her eyesight. She slew those bullies the night before she left. She’s in the Cloak Faction (an underground organization of hitmen, or a black market if you will) because that’s the only road she can turn to. (she was originally male, she was supposed to be a reference to Jet Enduro from Wild Arms 3, but ehhhh. Also pronounce her name outloud and then pronounce "Rock on, Bro!" and record it so I can hear, especially Rags/Forte)

Kayn – Grew up with Vension and Stream. The biggest of the group. Considered Vension’s rival and despises the fact that he grew up and “left” him behind. This rivalry stems from childhood, when Stream took particular interest in Vension & the fact that he was more intelligent than Kayn was, though less strong. He uses strength as an alternative method of “beating” Ven, yet is a rank below him in the Faultless Defense Force (or FDF). Method of Combat: 5ft Great Sword [notice the Kain & Abel reference; Ven is Abel]

Malise – Physical manifestation of all negative emotion corrupted a man (Ven&Sol’s uncle). Roams the world(because no person is powerful enough to take it on), feeding off of every negative emotion. Targeted and wanted by the Sanctioned Occult of Lunare (Or Sanction) with a Hazard level of 0 (on a scale of 1-8, with 8 being the lowest) People can tell he’s near when their emotions go haywire. But Ven & Sol have a strong resistance to it because of their blood.

Terrance Alexanders – Raised in a city where male dominance is extremely prevalent and females are given less import than males. Underwent arcane transformation magic that alters the users gender. She wants to prove that a woman at heart can do just as much as a man can. Is the brawler/grappler of the game and fights using elegant fisticuffs. [portmanteu of Terry of KoF and Alex of SF)

Blake Howard  - An astute person with an extreme sense of” justice”. Often sees things in black and white and lacks a sense of grey. Against the FDF and the New Age Noir (NAN, antagonistic group). He fights by imbuing his flat, metal cross with holy energy in different fashions eg. Making it a bow, a blade, a boomerang. Etc. Sanctioned Occult of  Lunare’s main Missionary and handles all of their missions.

Neige Heureux – Raised in a tundra section of the ruins of the “Old World” because the family is highly religious and figures if they stay true to their faith that they could repent for the Renaissance. Due to unknown powers at hand (later learned to be Oda), he woke up one day with the ability to manipulate water (and ice, since ice is just water). A small child, innocent and pure. Extremely naïve. [http://babelfish.yahoo.com/translate_txt--French to English, put his name in]

Lucas Shines – Timid, shy, and overall scared. He is a spirit summoner’s apprentice. His master (The 1000 Year Old Wise Man) died of a terminal illness (planted by Oda) leaving him to inherit the name, and the Relic d’Monos: Venerabo- a staff with the ability to summon spirits. Before he died, he bound the 4 Defective Demons (Vinyl, Banshock, Fairell and Soare) to the staff in order to  keep him safe. Fairell constantly picks on him due to his timid behavior, whilst Soare tries to console him. [ all the names that aren't Vinyl or Banshock need C+C on]
[also in latin Lucas means light or something so yeah]

Lunare – One of the Legendary Celestials. In the Old World, began the Equality Movement during the Authority Revolt when the higher-ups were being unfair to the general populace (eg unequal land distribution, social class bias, law abuse) causing her to become arrested and thrown into prison. The civilians, not approving, went into an outrage and all got arrested in order to put the prisons on cardiac arrest and give her a chance to escape. The Celestials saw her courage as a great virtue and decided to block her exit so that they could recruit her for their army. She joins, thinking that the could help the people, but at the cost of everything that made her human like emotions and the like in exchange for cold logic. On one scouting mission to the Otherworld, she came across 4 baby demons-a plant one, a fire one, an electric one and a wind one- not causing anyone any harm and playing tag. She spared them the execution and returned to HQ, displaying that she still had human left in her. The other  Celestials saw this as a flaw and de-angelified her. Upon the beginning of the Plane/Realm War between the two worlds, they realized they needed all of the men they could get, so they asked her to join once more. She declined because she’d already started a family (With Rex and her two newborn children) so they held the family as collateral and forced her to rejoin. Regarded as a “God” by the common people, since they are the only Celestial that they’ve seen. [pronounced "loon-air"; portmanteau of Clair and Luna, the roman goddess of the moon, or at least one of them...]

open to C+C, and that's the end of part uno.
