Stupid Poetry Thing

Not a fanfic or a story, but I guess this place is the best I'm gonna get to post it.

I wrote this one after sitting in a plane from Atlanta to Albuquerque and generally wanting to stab everyone Delta but the pilots and flight attendants. It isn't their fault.

The name is Suburboglyphs.

Plane
From city to city, so little to do
The windows reveal the same thing, always
Sea of lights or dark
Where?
Anywhere, doesn't matter
Just sprawling patterns of lights
Whatever way is most convenient
Sprawl without reason
Perhaps there is a reason, hidden deep within
All I can find is branches
Perhaps a vague impression of an image
That trumpeter comes to mind
People-like shapes at times
Mostly twisting vines
But those rare times when a picture is formed
I call it a suburboglyph

My favorite part was where this was completely disregarded.

It did nothing for me.  Evoked no emotions or deep thoughts.  I just read a description of the ground from an airplane at night, and it became nothing more than that.
