It's just that I feel too mature to buy that console and need a little brother to buy it for and play off of like my brother did with the GBA, Wii, DS and all those. I'm the youngest in my family and chances are my parents-wait, that's no longer chance-dependant because my mother can no longer have children- So that I'll never have a younger brother, and possibly the last console I'll buy before leaving the house is a Wii U.

There are so many... I'm up to 1200 coins and there are no signs of it stopping.

In related news, it seems I'm actually fairly good at this game when playing with folks online. Even when people cheat to get back on the track faster. (Seriously, is that some glitch being exploited or something? I see tons of people fly off the track, then instantly return right where they were, bypassing Lakitu altogether.)
