Jew druids? Drjewids? This is new.

Well apparently, the cycle has continued, and people are back to saying "Merry Christmas" instead of "Happy Holidays." Some idiots on Facebook complained about Christians complaining about "Happy Holidays," yet didn't seem to realize their complaining was the reason it changed to "Happy Holidays" in the first place. When will people learn to just hell up? Christmas has become secular (again) and Happy Holidays includes Christmas. I swear, it seems like both sides of the argument are trying to outdo each other in ridiculousness.

the names of priests for us is druids, as in, druids have the same name as jewish priests, in hebrew anyways. They're not like druids you think of in fantasy or history, but the reason we have other words for either is because priests are nothing like ours, and the word for druids in our language means 'Worker of the god' more than 'Weird forest guy which knows magix and can fuck shit up', whereas priest is more like 'Condescending holiness', not to mention it actually being a family name and technically anyone from that name can be a worker of the god but no one other than that excluding another family name, which actually means 'Hearty'. So our priests are either Druids or Hearties.


We seem so primitive when looked upon that way!

Druids were Norse (pagan) diviners who would dress up in the skins of wild animals to deceive spirits.  Particularly, they did this at the end of the year on what we now call Halloween (thanks to the Church), as a particularly malevolent spirit would unleash the souls of the dead upon the world.  This is where we get the dressing up part of Halloween.
