How do I become a mod?

I was wondering how someone becomes one of these mods or admins that you claim to keep from abusing their power.  I haven't seen any around, so I don't think there are any.

But if I'm interested, how do I ask to be promoted?

Well Forte is the Uber here and I and ShadowMan are the Mods......
So you must ask Forte.....

I didn't know enforcer units were mods, but I created this post for future reference to others besides myself as well.

Don't worry about the mods in question. They're from other places I have been. It's something I wish to avoid, since I know what it does to a community.

Just to clarify -

Head Admin = Me
Bureaucratic Unit  = Other admins
Enforcer Units = Global Moderators

Right now, I probably don't need any more mods than the two I have and myself. But if I ever do need any more, I hand pick them determined by their performance on the board.

Yeah, well, it took me 1600 posts, a friendship with the Head Admin, a lot of butt-kissing "doing good," and an all around show of usefulness.

But Holy Cow it took a long time to get here.

Mods always have bright green text in the users online field, so that's how you can tell them apart.
