Welcome to Skyrim Roleplay!


I:Introduction

Welcome to the world of Skyrim! This is going to be an epic adventure, but before we begin there are quite a few formalities that must be met, in this introduction, which includes the rules, basic plot, along with the roster for both characters and GM's. Any and all individuals who wish to participate in this Roleplay are encouraged to read through the entire thing, I promise you it won't take long, and it only help save embarrassment on your part.

    For this to work, and for it to be the most fun, I've decided to go a bit different from Canon, the Dragonborn is still around, however, there will be allowed 3 more Dragonborn, there are technically 4, however one spot is already filled, the Greybeards state that the 'Dragonborn' is not the first, however during this time he is the only to be revealed to them, this is because the Divines have seen fit for this particular individual to fullfil the prophecy of the Dragonborn, other Dragonborns, through our Roleplay, may discover that they are indeed Dragonborn, however, They have no ties to the Prophecy involving Alduin.


II:Rules and Regulations

There are some Rules, sorry, but we can't have 20 Dragonborns walking around being complete bad-asses, in the next amount I will explain to you what needs to and doesn't need to be auth'd.
 
* No one may claim to be a Dragonborn, you must contact a GM via steam with a basic premise of your character in order for it to be a Dragonborn, I expect a decent backstory as well, how did your character get to Skyrim if he or she wasn't born there?

* Elf and Beast Races are able to survive a total of 400 years, meaning if you have an elven or beast race, your character could have been around during the Oblivion Crisis, HOWEVER, in order to have any IC significance in it, you have to Steam Friends a GM with that particular portion of your backstory. Here is a list of what can be auth'd if your character survived through these times.
   - Helped to close an Oblivion Gate (Limited to One)
   - Survived the invasion by Dagon while in the Imperial City

* Magic - Magic is NOT limited to what is in the game, for the most part, if you can think it, simply pass it by a GM you can use it so long as your character is a skilled enough mage, see the following rules for what would require an authorization, here is a basic list you are able to use in creative ways if you are skilled in a school of magic, which, by turn, is limited to THAT school of magic (Meaning you could have a high Conjuration skill, but your unable to be creative with destructive magic)

    Alteration - Includes mind fucking, ect, understand that if someone is auth'd with a high enough will power, you can't fuck with them as easily.
   
    Conjuration - I'll allow Conjuration custom spells so long as you run it by me first, this includes inter-dimensional pockets that you can hold stuff in.
   
    Destruction - I've added a fourth for fun's sake, and this is the skill that will have the most freedom in terms of creativity so long as your auth'd by a GM in it, here are the 5 different area's your character can be skilled in when auth'd at a high Destruction skill (Understand anyone under 50 is unable to be creative with the spells, and you will be limited to spells in the game). Fire, Frost/Water Shock, and Air
   

    Illusion - Basic premise is, if I auth you above 50 in this school, you have creativity with it, just make sure to check with a GM before you do something overboard.
   
    Restoration - Same with the others, just don't go overboard with it.
   
    Enchanting  - ALL ENCHANTMENTS AND ENCHANTERS MUST BE AUTH'D BY A GM, CUSTOM ENCHANTMENTS AVALIABLE.

* Your character may, by default, have 3 areas in which they are skilled in (Limited to 50) any higher, or any skills even more at that level must be authorized by a GM. Otherwise, your maximum for all other skills is 25, be reasonable and don't make all your skills 25.

* You may put any special items, armor, or weapons, including enchantments in your application, if you feel that you'd need to be auth'd for specific items, such as guild items or custom stuff, then do not hesitate to steam friends a GM about it.

* Any characters being a hybrid (Human races don't count) of any other races MUST be auth'd, this includes elven/beast hybrids, beast/human hybrids, or elven/human hybrids.

* All equipment your character has must be roleplayed properly, I dont want to see heavy armored individuals doing flips and shit, and I dont want to see lightly armored individuals charging through 20 dragor with a sword.

* Any characters belonging to any faction MUST be auth'd, this includes the Companions, Dark Brotherhood, Theives Guild, Colledge of Winterhold, and any other factions in the game, with my Okay, your character may be able to belong to more than one so long as they don't collide with one another (You can't me a Stormcloak and an Imperial)

* Any character may belong to any clan without authorization

* There rules are subject to change and additions at anytime, however a GM will notify all whom belong to the roleplay of any additions or changes.


III:Basic Plot

The basic plot will be revealed in the first Chapter, however, Here is where we are.
The first dragon has already attacked Helgen, and all over Skyrim more of them are appearing, although this is a hindrance, mercenary groups and people continue to live about their lives, facing the dragons if they have to, only truly skilled fighters ever living to tell the tale.
