The Two Man RPG

I glance over to Jericho.
"Should we trust him?"

[Buradi-Mari]

I look him over.

"We may not have a choice."

I look at my companion.

"Let's go with it.  What say you?"

"I guess we have no choice."
I walk over to the android.
"Lead away."

[Death Dark]

     The android ran out into the hall, the both of you in tow.  The whole place seemed like a never ending repetition of metal walls and doors with the occasional hall to interrupt.  He quickly took a corner, temporarily cutting your line of sight.  You came around the corner and almost ran into him.  As you regained your posture, you looked up to see four well-armed androids at the end of the hall.
     "What's going on here?"
     The android cursed under his breath.  "Get behind me."
     There was no time to think; you followed his orders and took cover behind him.  He rushed the four androids who fired at him frantically.  Their shots meant nothing; their guns were designed to kill humans, not androids.
     The android got in close, and leapt out at them, leaving you behind.  He slammed into the two in the middle, knocking them to the ground.  He quickly grabbed the android to his left, and slammed him into the one on his right.
     The android turned and motioned for you to follow.  At the end of the hall, you could see the night sky through the wide windows and the door straight ahead.  He sprinted to the door, which slid open before him, and jumped off a balcony.  You stopped upon seeing this, knowing you wouldn't be able to follow.  You could hear metal footsteps running through the hall, and didn't even want to turn around to see if the four behind you had gotten up yet.
     Suddenly the android rose up to the level of the balcony.  He stood, arms crossed, on a small skiff piloted by a slightly rusted green android.
     "Come on!"
     You ran towards him, adrenaline pumping through your veins, and scrambled over the edge of the balcony just as the gunshots started ringing out.  As soon as the last of you was in, the skiff took off, leaving the building behind.
     "You can relax now; you're safe."

I try to relax.  "Thanks."

"So, are you going to tell us what the hell is going on?" I say, trying to catch my breath.

[Death Dark]

     The android turned to you.  "What do you mean?  We rescued you, and now we're taking you to safety."

"But what was with the fighting in there? What's the story behind that?"
