The Erradication of the Human Race

I'm writing a paper on this subject, and it'd be nice if some people could argue against me or give me some ideas or whatnot.  All help is welcome, and opinions may be quoted.

I think I have a thesis here:

The human race has failed to live up to its full potential, thus not fulfilling its purpose.
The human race has failed to grow beyond animal-like qualities.
The human race, having no further use or good, must be eliminated.

The human race is doomed to self eradication because of its ever increasing population, the possibility of a nuclear war, the dwindling amount of natural resources, etc. etc.

I'm not going to talk about the death that we as a specie face, I'm going to talk about the death that we as a specie should deal to ourselves.
