What was that? - The story of what just happened.

Once upon a time, about two months ago, I posted a topic (on my birthday, even) about how TFCPH is going to be changing their servers. It sounded pretty urgent then and I figured that they would have it done in a matter of weeks like they said in the news bulletin there.

lol.

Let's look at the last three days and what lead to this crap, so that anyone who wanted to know will.

January 1, 2009. Site works until 6:33 PM EST. Random redirect to thtdomains, a Korean based site that looks like the kind of crap that turns up when you click on a google link to a dead site. The site stays this way for the rest of the night.

January 2, 2009. The same story. To top it off, for these last few weeks, grandforums.com has been returning IPB Driver error. I can't even ask anyone why this is happening. I take matters into my own hands and make a hosting account at another place that has almost the same comforts as here, just I'm not staff. I stay up all night and bust my butt moving files over to there and transferring everything. To my dismay, nothing wants to work there.

January 3, 2009. Grandforums is magically back up. After some complaints about the random redirecting, it's fixed. Firefox claims that it was a weird Cpanel glitch. The best part about this is that now every tfcph hosted site says that the account has been suspended. Someone complains about this at 9:05 AM EST. Their site is fixed and Firefox asks anyone else with the same message to report in.

January 4, 2009. I notice this topic. At 6:16 PM EST, I ask to have this wrong righted. So here we are.

all raidin' some Twilight boards outside of the school
when a couple of guys, trying to do good
started making trouble in the server's neighborhood
They got us into one little down time and I got scared
said "I'm going to have to get a new host... that one over there!"

I whistled for a mod and when he came near
I noticed he was a furry and that I really fear.
If anything I could say this hosting was rare,
but thought, nah forget it, go home to grandfourms!
