I have discovered something very important.

The clingy Melee fanboy will find a flaw in every post made with even the slightest praise for Brawl and criticize it to the best of his ability, which normally is on the level of mentality of a four year old. Allow me to give an example.

I decided that I would haunt the AiB forums for the first time in almost a year, and came across a topic "Was there anyone that hated Melee?", obviously an affront on Brawl. I read the topic and took in the massive amounts of pure, fanboy driven banter that never truly answered the question, of course meaning that the entire topic was off topic, but never mind that. I decided that I would make one of the few posts of dignity and common sense in the topic and actually answer the question presented to me.

My reward for trying to be reason in a sea of insanity? A smack to the face from someone who can call himself a moderator. He quickly finds a way to compare my post to that of a "noob" (lol) and defends Melee with his life. Allow me to quote him on a few things.

If I were going to go into a long winded conversation about Brawl, I would have posted it in the Brawl Discussion forum, hm? Either way, the Smash community has descended into a disgusting pile of trash that nothing seems to alleviate. It's now just a constant battle between Melee fanboys who refuse to move on, Brawl fanboys who refuse to back down, and the few intelligent people who accept both games as decent and acceptable, but know ultimately that Brawl must be accepted, as it's what we all bought a Wii for.

Also, apparently beating your friends makes you garbage, but beating complete strangers means you whip ass.

As in, you just took down someone who has no idea of what your play-style is, and so in two, maybe three games were unable to make an effect counter strategy, leading to their ultimate defeat. That makes you better than beating your friends who have played against you for weeks, months, and most likely, years, who know how to develop effective strategies against you. Perfect sense. Yep.

Holy hot dicks from hell, how do I even consider myself part of this community anymore...
