Here's the plan:  I'm going to make a multiplayer turn-based PVP RPG for FSnC.  This is a relaxed project, and probably won't get very far, but it's worth a try.

Obviously, I have the coding skills to handle this one (though I actually need to learn to interface PHP with MySQL, but that'll be simple), but I still need sprites, backgrounds, testers, and people generally telling me if what I'm doing should be done or not.  I also may get someone else to write the backstory to this, since I don't have one so far.

Here's what I have so far:

Shatter attacks are what we'll be calling the magic in this game, just to be different.  I still need more classes, but I think I know what I'm going to do about spells, special attacks, etc.  Classes get a total of 50 skill points, and the current classes may be rewired.

The attacks and spells will come in versions 1-7 gained at each power of 2 from 1-64 (which will be our range of levels).  Each attack will have its good points and bad points, and different ways of handling stats.  For example, Slash would take Atk and Acc as they are, though Flurry would decrease both yet strike more times.  Since there will be no plain attack option due to this, I think I'm going to take out SP and have Shatter attacks be considered the same as Slash and Flurry.

Another possibility is being able to choose your element along with your class.  Higher level fire attacks would deal constant damage (catch your opponent on fire), ice would freeze your enemy, and lightning could stun them for x turns.  These would also change your resistances, and would only add the element to certain types of attacks.

I'll test it, pretty much all I'm capable of doing. Ideas I also have. You need a healing class, I have no idea what you're going to name it, seeing as how Tremor = Red Mage, Bash= Fighter, Quake = Black Mage, Crack= Thief. Perhaps also "advanced classes," a la Final Fantasy I/III. Also a ranged base class.

Advanced classes were stolen from D&D, they're called Paragon Paths.  As for the cleric, this is mostly going to be a 1 on 1 character match.  Healing would bring about a strategy, but not much else.  As for a ranged class, it's not necessary.

Tremor = "Hero"
Bash = Fighter
Quake = Wizard
Crack = Rogue

And, as you said, you'd test, but you can of course also help with things like designing new classes and attacks for them.

SP is officially out.  Elemental choosing is officially in.  Each class (except Tremor) starts off with Slash and one other attack.  Here are the respec'd classes and Lv 1 attacks.

I only need a few stationary backgrounds to act like a backdrop.  This isn't going to be a sidscroller, so no tiles are needed.

As for the sprites, I don't like very many styles I've seen so far.  Out of all that I've seen, I think that Fire Emblem is the closest to what I want.  I'm looking for mostly realistic sprites - no stylization or cartoony sprites.  I'll try to get some sketches for you to go off of.
