That's an image error which is completely my fault. I've been meaning to fix it for a while. Its placement isn't something I can help, though.

I "fixed" Downloads, Chess, and Chat buttons. Chess button has some alignment issues, so it's not 100%, but all the images are how they should be now.

The gap is cosmetic and is only a problem with how IE interperates CSS.  All functionality has already been confirmed in all major browsers except Chrome.  As Hobo mentioned, this site was specialized for and tested in Firefox, though it works and looks 100% correct in Opera, which indicates everything has been done according to web standards, with the exception of doctype.
