Oh, in battle. As I was hoping the overworld sprites holding weapons would imply, there is no "in battle", and everything is controlled from the overworld. Think how Boktai works, except mix that in with the quirkiness of Mother's battle system (Scrolling HP/PP meters, music combos, etc).

Not that I'm not working on Allegro's animations still, but some ideas came into my head involving Rallentando getting different poses. Not quite finished yet, obviously, but I think the diagonal one is another success.

Interesting that it didn't reference the image properly.

My problem with the sprites is that they're too plain.  Very blocky and lacking detail.  I don't feel like I know the characters through the sprites, and I can barely tell them apart.

Zahlzeit: Big motherfucker with a robot arm. He's bald.
Brio: Orange-ish hair. He's a tiny little fellow.
Adagio: White hair. His sprite needs a bit of work, but he's extremely thin and pale.

What can I say?  He's plain.  Boring.  Reminds me of Ash a bit.  You know, there's no harm in having an interesting main character -- draw your player in.

Does he intentionally have a mullet?  You say he has drawstrings on his clothes, but why can we only see them on his coat?

Breasts apparently representative by a line.  A black line.  On a dark grey shirt.  Very noticeable.

Yes, the only way we can tell is by process of elimination:  he doesn't have the aforementioned line.

An arm apparently being a series of bricks.

I would like to recall your attention to the original complaint of mine:
