Could be worse. Could have that messed up abomination online play that Nintendo is famous for.

Nothing more fun than playing forced 4 player co-op as a random character with people you don't know and can't communicate with.

Even if Nintendo got their multiplayer wrong, it could have been worse....... NO MULTIPLAYER!

Back in my day, multiplayer was a privilege, not a right. In fact, the majority of great games didn't have multiplayer, and those that did... well I never friggin used it.

I enjoyed those 100 times more than 70% of the games today. Perhaps... multiplayer is killing video games.

This game was not meant to be played with two people. As one person put it "it's like precision platforming in a tumble dryer full of cricket balls." But hey, if you enjoy elevated blood pressure and being a very angry person at the people you're playing with, then by all means, play multiplayer on New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
