Mark your calenders, because Saturday, May 7, is free comic book day. Participating stores will give out a comic book [from a small selection, of course] to you in exchange for your soul for absolutely FREE*!

*MegaRock35 and FSnC are in no way affiliated with Free Comic Book Day are not to be held responsible for stores that do not participate, crappy comics, or your soul being condemned to eternal damnation in a botched deal with Mephisto that retcons 20 years of your life.

Here's the list of comic books.

Amazing Spider-Man, yes...

Also, The Misadventures of Adam West. My curiosity is piqued.

Oh, right, I completely forgot about this.  I would've gotten the Path of a Planeswalker II book, personally, had I money.

It's tomorrow for me. I just wonder if I should go since my Dad'll be in the hospital.

Does your local store require a purchase in order to participate or something?

No, I'd just rather contribute, rather than come and take a book.

That makes sense. I ended up spending $11 there.

Richmond Comix had quite a few of everything and no limit, "so long as you don't go too crazy." I got The Amazing Spider-Man, Ultimate Spider-Man #1 Free Comic Book Day Edition, Marvel Age Halloween Special 2004 Reprint, Green Lantern Special Edition, Archie, a comic about the Civil War that I can't recall the name of, and two issues of Betty and Veronica and Amelia Rules! for my little sister. I also bought an issue of Deadpool, Moon Knight #1, and The Traveler #6 while I was there. It was a good day.

I went the day of free comic book day and just hung out for a while during my break...I ended up getting Daredevil 131 and also got The Green Hornet 9.  It was a fun day.  I usually cringe going into the comic book store because I always spend way more than I originally intended to.
